Does this sound familiar?

Back pain can affect far more than your back.

Low back and leg pain can change how you move, sleep, work, and plan your entire day.
  • Does your back hurt when you sit, stand, or walk?
  • Do you struggle to roll over in bed or get comfortable at night?
  • Has putting on shoes and socks become a painful daily challenge?
  • Does pain travel into your hip, buttock, or leg?
  • Are you experiencing aching, burning, tingling, or numbness?
  • Have you stopped shopping, attending church, traveling, or enjoying family activities?

  • Gentle Treatment Sessions: Our hands-on adjustments and supportive therapies focus on restoring spinal alignment and reducing pain. Many patients notice improvement within just a few sessions, though each journey is unique.
  • Ongoing Support and Monitoring: We offer regular progress check-ins, home care tips, and guidance on preventing flare-ups during local activities or travel. Follow-up visits help ensure your back pain relief is long-lasting and sustainable.

Understanding your symptoms

Why does back pain sometimes travel into the leg?

Back and leg symptoms can have several possible causes. The lumbar discs, spinal joints, nerves, muscles, and surrounding soft tissues can all contribute to pain. Two people can describe similar pain while having very different underlying problems. That is why we begin with a consultation and examination rather than recommending the same treatment for everyone.

Discs & nerves

Disc changes, stenosis, and irritation involving a spinal nerve may contribute to back or radiating leg symptoms.

Joints & movement

Spinal joint irritation, restricted motion, and age-related changes may affect comfort and mobility.

Muscles & habits

Previous injuries, repetitive lifting, muscle tension, prolonged sitting, and movement patterns may also play a role.

You do not have to decide on treatment today.

Your first step is simply finding out what may be causing your pain and whether our approach is appropriate for you.
  • Discuss your symptoms, history, previous care, and goals
  • Complete a focused physical examination
  • Evaluate mobility, function, and relevant neurological findings
  • Recommend X-rays or other information when clinically appropriate
  • Explain whether you appear to be a candidate for care

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know whether I am a candidate for spinal decompression?

Candidacy is determined through your health history, consultation, examination, and available diagnostic information. Spinal decompression is not appropriate for every patient or every cause of back pain.

Does every patient receive the same treatment program?

No. Recommendations are based on your symptoms, examination findings, health history, treatment goals, and response to care.

Will I need X-rays?

X-rays may be recommended when clinically appropriate. Dr. Beck will explain why imaging is or is not needed in your particular case.

Is the consultation and examination really $100?

Yes. The consultation and examination fee for low back and leg pain is $100. Any recommended imaging, treatment, or additional services will be discussed with you.

Do I have to begin treatment on the day of my examination?

No. The initial visit is an opportunity to evaluate your condition, determine whether you are a candidate, and discuss recommendations. You will have an opportunity to ask questions before making a treatment decision.

Can you guarantee that my pain will go away?

No responsible healthcare provider can guarantee a particular result. Every patient and condition is different. Our responsibility is to evaluate you carefully, explain our findings, and recommend care only when we believe it is appropriate.

What if another doctor recommended surgery?

We do not advise patients to disregard another healthcare professional's recommendation. We can evaluate whether you may be a candidate for conservative care. Some conditions require surgical or other medical treatment, and referrals are made when appropriate.

When back pain requires immediate medical attention

Seek immediate medical care if back pain is accompanied by a new loss of bowel or bladder control, numbness around the groin or saddle area, rapidly worsening leg weakness, severe pain following a significant accident or fall, fever or unexplained illness, or any condition that feels like a medical emergency.
Do not wait for a routine chiropractic appointment when emergency symptoms are present.

How much longer do you want back pain making your decisions?

You may not yet know which treatment is appropriate. That is what the consultation and examination are designed to help determine. The first step is not committing to a treatment program. The first step is getting answers.
